Diagnosis

Risk for coronary artery aneurysms related to inflammation of blood vessels.

Goals

Patient will remain free from signs of coronary artery complications. Patient will report a reduction in symptoms associated with Kawasaki disease.

Interventions

Monitor cardiac function and signs of coronary artery complications regularly. Administer intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) and aspirin as prescribed. Educate patient and caregivers on the importance of medication adherence and follow-up echocardiograms. Encourage rest and hydration during the acute phase of the illness.

These interventions help reduce inflammation and prevent complications associated with Kawasaki disease.
