Goals

Interventions

Administer antibiotic or antifungal eye drops as prescribed. Educate patient on the importance of completing the full course of treatment. Advise patient to avoid contact lenses until the ulcer has healed. Monitor for signs of worsening infection and provide prompt treatment.

Rationale

Appropriate antimicrobial treatment and patient education prevent complications and promote healing.

Evaluation

Assess for improvement in symptoms and healing of the corneal ulcer. Evaluate patient's adherence to treatment plan.
