Interventions
Monitor bladder distension and urinary output regularly. Administer prescribed medications to promote bladder emptying (e.g., alpha-blockers). Perform intermittent catheterization as needed to relieve retention. Educate patient on techniques to promote urination, such as double voiding and warm baths.
