Goals

Patient will maintain adequate fluid volume as evidenced by balanced intake and output and stable vital signs.

Interventions

Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and signs of dehydration regularly. Administer prescribed antiemetics and antidiarrheal medications as needed. Encourage oral rehydration solutions or IV fluids to maintain hydration. Educate patient on the importance of proper food handling and hygiene to prevent recurrence.

Rationale

Evaluation
