Always prioritize: Airway, Breathing, Circulation, then Safety. When multiple patients need care, choose the most life-threatening situation first. This framework guides 80% of NCLEX priority questions.
NCLEX tests nursing judgment, not textbook memorization. Ask: "What can I legally do as a new RN?" Focus on assessment, patient safety, and when to call the doctor rather than medical diagnosis.
Eliminate obviously wrong answers first. Look for absolute words like "always" or "never" (usually wrong), and options that are unsafe or outside nursing scope. This technique improves odds significantly.
Consistent practice builds stamina and pattern recognition. Focus on understanding rationales for both correct AND incorrect answers. Quality review of explanations is more valuable than sheer quantity.
Track your performance by topic (pharm, med-surg, maternity, etc.). Spend extra time on areas where you score below 70%. Use active recall and spaced repetition for difficult concepts.
🏆 Remember: You're not just memorizing for a test - you're preparing to save lives as an RN!
